SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We exist to honour God by establishing Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered and socially responsible churches and campus ministries in every nation.
We believe that God is calling us to be a socially responsible church on personal, congregational and citywide levels.

CITY WIDE

Tswalo House Baby Haven

In South Africa, there are an estimated 3,7 million orphans and 3500 babies are abandoned annually – with no hope of experiencing the love of their heavenly Father. The need is big, but we know an even bigger God who loves to redeem the most broken. As a socially responsible church, we as Every Nation Tshwane believe that God has given the mandate of “caring for the orphan” to His church; to every believer.

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” James 1:27
We have affiliated with African Havens (Every Nation Johannesburg), drawing on their experience of more than 30 years, to establish Havens in Tshwane.

The Every Nation Tshwane Baby Haven wants to be the hands of Christ to touch, to heal and to bring wholeness to vulnerable children by providing a loving home, discipleship in the word and the presence and the power of God. We want to see children return to the joy of childhood. We want to be a beautiful part to the answer of Africa’s orphan crisis.

What is the function of Tswalo House?

Tswalo house is a temporary place of safety for abandoned babies, which is a specialized short-term care facility that provides 24/7 support and care for newborns and young infants who have been abandoned, orphaned or surrendered by their parents.
We currently have 6 babies in our care. We are excited and expectant to see these little ones grow and see God's purpose for their lives unfold. We also have 8 loving staff ladies who work in 12 hour shifts day and night. and we are thankful for a team of people loving and raising our babies together.
Our house also consists of volunteers and visitors who spend their time with us, as it truly takes a village to raise children.
"God's heart beats for the vulnerable and so should ours. The Bible commands us to care for the orphan, the widow, and the foreigner (Deuteronomy 10v19, Psalm 68v5-6 and James 1v27). We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to love and serve the lease of these (Matthew 25v31-46). Let us open our arms, our hearts, and our homes to the orphan, the abandoned and the marginalized.
Let us be the safe haven, the loving embrace, and the hope-filled future they deserve. For in caring for the vulnerable, we are not only obeying God's command but also reflecting the very character of our loving Father in Heaven.

CONGREGATIONAL

Through our congregations we have been involved in initiating and supporting many community projects and social responsibility initiatives since 2010.
We have endeavoured to mobilise volunteers, raise funds locally, supply training and resources, and through these engagements we have been able to support existing initiatives as well as starting new initiatives.

Lynnwood Projects

Peas in a pod

Peas in a pod is a Place of Safety in Arcadia, Pretoria for fifteen young girls who have fallen victim of gender-based abuse. Founder Dr. Annali Swanepoel aims to create a safe environment for these girls to heal and recover from the trauma that they have experienced.

Church members can make donations or get actively involved in these girls' lives. Donations vary from daily household-needs, toiletries, clothes or even monetary donations. Through donations we also contributed towards their building project. One of their needs is to add a room to the house. There are currently only two bedrooms for the 15 girls. The girls visit our church every second Sunday where they are part of the kids church and youth program. The housemothers attend our church services. Embrace a child is a special project where congregation members commit to take a girl out once a month and do something fun. There are 8 couples/individuals that are currently part of this initiative.
